I have played as a musician here a handful of times and I am playing here tonight. My name is. Jivemind and that also is my @ everywhere. I just want to make a comment about the incredibly helpful kind and courteous staff that work at this fine establishment. I especially want to give a shout out to the bartender who has always crafted the most amazing beverages. Come on out tonight and see what I mean. Plus you’ll see the added benefit of getting to see my show. There’s no cover.

Ale’ Rae’s GastroPub in Knoxville has an awesome vibe and top-notch service. The atmosphere is unique, and the staff is fantastic. PROTIP: Get the bourbon meatloaf—it’s packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Live music makes it even better!

Quite literally one of my favorite restaurants ever. Every menu item has SO much flavor and is absolutely delicious. The servers are so nice and the owner is so sweet! This place is beautiful inside and out and they have amazing music. My favorite item is the black brew pulled pork!!!

Food was excellent! I got the El Paso Mac with chicken and the bread with it was on point. My family got burgers and meatloaf and everything was delicious. My only complaint at all would be that if you’re going to catch up or anything, don’t go when music is playing. We went in tonight at 6:30 and didn’t know music was on and couldn’t talk to each other. The brand was great but it was very loud. I wish I remembered our servers name because she was excellent! Super cute inside too.

Disappointing Execution for a "Gastropub" I had high hopes given the appealing menu, but this place falls short of the gastropub standard—where high-quality food should be the focus. Unfortunately, the execution didn’t match the promise. Fries: Soggy and oversalted (and that’s coming from someone who loves salt). Burger: The beef was underseasoned and lacked flavor. Schnitzel: Remarkably plain, with no depth or brightness to elevate it. Service was another letdown. Our waitress seemed disengaged, only smiling when checking her phone—hardly the warm hospitality you’d expect. Was it the worst meal ever? No. But for a gastropub, it was barely a step above fast food. With better attention to detail, this place could deliver on its potential. For now, though, it’s hard to recommend.

A completely different experience than anywhere we’ve ever been in Knoxville. My wife and I ate an early dinner here Sunday. The restaurant is an old house, thoughtfully decorated to look distressed, making us feel right at home. Every staff member we passed smiled and greeted us. Our server was extremely nice and went an above and beyond for us to sample things we had questions about. Especially the peanut butter wing sauce. Almost every item on the menu is unlike anything we’d seen before. That itself is not only a relief, but very hard for the adventurous indecisive minds, in the best way. Just reading over the menu may wish you could order one of everything. From the Brisket roll appetizers, the ravioli, the Steak wrap, the salted caramel banana dessert, everything was fresh, and outstanding. An absolute unexpected surprise experience in every aspect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thank you for Ale Rae’s being here! We will drive 1.5 hours again, just to come eat! Bonus for not being so close to downtown, can’t find parking! They have their own free parking lot!!

Food and service were both superb! Grace did an amazing job making sure we were taken care of. The food was both beautiful, and delicious! We did brunch today and I tried the Traveler Omelette. It was *chef's kiss* I snagged some salsa to try on it a well. Salsa is just the right amount of spicy. Generous portions and the food is bursting with flavor! 10/10 we'll be back! Wanna come back and check out some live music!

10/10 experience! Molly was our server today and she was so lovely and offered great suggestions and just made my day with how sweet she was. She is the BEST. Food here is always so delicious. The brunch is my personal fav! The cocktails are great and I love that they rotate the menu. If you’ve never been here. You NEED to!
